17-year-old Asher Michel from Tabernash, Colorado, is an up-and-comer in the freestyle skiing world. During the 2022-23 season, he earned his first World Cup start in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and landed within the top 25. Asher earned a third-place finish in the FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships in 2023, a top-10 result in the 2022 Deer Valley National Championships and three top-five results in NorAm Cups.
During the 2023-24, Michel earned new personal bests in both moguls and dual moguls, finishing 11th in his first moguls World cup in Waterville, and 23rd in duals at Deer Valley. While splitting his time between the World Cup and NorAm circuits this season, he also earned two NorAm podiums including a win in Stratton, and finished the year fourth overall in the NorAm standings.
When he isn't skiing, Asher plays lacrosse for his school, and volunteers at Headwaters Trails Alliance to build trails around his hometown.
