Lindsey Vonn Injury Update
VAIL, CO (Nov. 20) - Olympic gold medalist and four-time Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall champion Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) sustained a mild strain to her right knee, a partial tear to her right ACL, minor facial abrasions and scapular contusions as a result of a downhill training fall Tuesday on the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain. Vonn plans to rest for a few days before pursuing physical therapy. U.S. Ski Team Medical Director Kyle Wilkens reported her response to the therapy would ultimately determine the timetable for her return to active training.

Known as one of the world's most successful female ski racers, Lindsey Vonn is coming out of retirement to rejoin the Stifel U.S. Ski Team. She is the only American woman to capture downhill gold at the Olympics, has 82 World Cup victories, 137 World Cup podiums, seven World Championship medals, and 20 World Cup titles (including four Overall World Cup Crystal Globes).
