Position: Competition Services Assistant
Status/Classification: This is an hourly, part-time, temporary position. Position will be 20 hours per week. It will start as soon as it is filled and end 30 April 2019.
Position Summary
The Competition Services Assistant assists with day-to-day operations of the Competition Service Department, providing liaison between sport competition programs, competition organizers, competitions results, officials, volunteers, members, parents and clubs.
Responsibilities
* Schedule Agreement and Athlete Registration Systems – Provide customer service support for users of the online systems.
* Athlete Points System – Assist with result processing. Maintain electronic and hard copy race result packets.
* Organizational Contact – Have the ability to provide basic contact direction for all sports.
* Other Duties – Other duties as assigned by the Director of Competition Services.
Reporting Structure
The position reports to the Director of Competition Services. The position works with other Competition Services staff as well as membership and sport staffs.
Background
The position requires a person with strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to interact with members, staff and volunteers via phone and email communications. Data entry skills and Microsoft office are preferred.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated on ability to provide consistent and accurate information to customer service requests.
