Anderson and Gold on Sports Illustrated Cover
PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 30) - Storied alpine veteran Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) and meteoric alpine young gun Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO), along with snowboarders Jaime Anderson (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) and Arielle Gold (Steamboat Springs, CO) are featured on covers of the 2014 Olympic Preview issue for Sports Illustrated. The iconic sports magazine printed four separate covers for its special Olympic edition, which is distributed to over four million people worldwide.
Miller, 36, is a five-time Olympic medalist and will be competing in his fifth Olympic Winter Games. Shiffrin, 18, rolls into Sochi as the 2013 World Championships gold medalist and World Cup champion in slalom. Anderson is the most successful women's slopestyle snowboarder in history and won four out of the five Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix qualifying events to punch her ticket to the sport's debut in Sochi. Gold is the youngest member of the women's snowboarding team and will be competing in her first Olympic Games along with her brother Taylor, also a halfpipe rider.
