DAY 3   REGIONAL SUBCOMMITTEE
DEVELOPMENT SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING #2
Notes from the first day of US Ski & Snowboard Congress 2023
U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Eastern Region is pleased to welcome Scott Graham as the newest member of the team as the Youth Development Coach.
We are excited to announce the planned return of validated SkillsQuest Fitness Testing this fall!
We’ve been fielding many inquiries about Covid policies for the 2021-2022 season. As everyone doubtless knows, the Covid landscape is continuing to evolve every day, so concrete information and policies for the winter season are still under discussion.
Folks from around the region have been working on nailing down race calendars for the 2022 season. The regional FIS calendar is pretty well solidified, and the Divisional FIS calendars are coming together.
Big news from the Eastern Region staff: we’re hiring! Kathy Okoniewski is transitioning over to a role in Sport Education, so we are currently looking for a Youth Development Coach to help our young athletes advance.
Club Excellence Conference Registration is Open!
There is no such thing as a "Points Freeze." Points will either go down (through performance) or they will go up (through performance, inactivity, or injury). Applying for injury protection limits the amount your points will go up, but they do not freeze.
Kathy Okoniewski caught up with Brad and Bo Underhill back in January. Bo is living and training at Sunday River with a few other Bates College teammates, while Brad is traveling, training and racing in Europe this winter with the US Ski Team.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard Monthly Membership Update for March 2021, including Pending Members, Coaching Fundamentals, Safe Sport, Background Screening, and more.

Eastern Amateur Ski Education Foundation

The Eastern Amateur Ski Educational Foundation (EASEF) is a fund that has been established to benefit the development of competitive skiing. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports alpine, cross country, jumping, freestyle, and snowboard development programs in the Eastern Region.

A special alpine account has been set up to benefit our eastern Athletes. Specifically, funds raised to for alpine are spent to directly reduce the costs to the athletes, by supporting competitor travel to national and international events, and to training camps and similar opportunities. EASEF relies entirely on contribution for the support it provides our athletes and programs.

If you want to help Eastern alpine competitors, we guarantee that any contribution earmarked "Alpine" will do just that. Eastern skiers need your help more than ever. EASEF can make a difference for those who have the ability to ski, not necessarily the ability to pay. From U16s to Junior Championship and NorAm racers, our skiers need financial support. If you would like to learn more please visit the EASEF website.
