Junior National Freestyle Championships
U.S. Freestyle Junior National Championships brings together the top junior competitors from each division to compete in an age group championship event - U15, U17, and U19.
Moguls and Dual Moguls
Quota
- Event quotas are dependent upon the event organizers' ability to provide two courses for the three age groups.
- The U.S. Freestyle Ski and Snowboard staff will work with the Event Organizer to determine the maximum quota based on the capacity of the event venue and schedule.
- Event quotas will be published on the event criteria page on the website.
Criteria
-
The athletes will qualify for the U.S. Junior National Championships for moguls and dual moguls from the FFSP List #4 based on the quota for the event for the following Age Groups: U15 (inclusive of any U13’s that qualify within the U15 age group quota), U17 and U19
-
Qualified athletes in moguls or dual moguls will be granted starts in both mogul and dual mogul events. These athletes must be ranked on the FFSP List for selection in the discipline they didn’t qualify for.
-
All divisions are guaranteed a minimum of three men and three women in the age-group competitions. If there are fewer than three in any age-group competition, athletes may be allocated by the division.
-
Declined invitations will be allocated to alternates until all quota spots are filled using the registration system outlined below. All alternates must be registered and paid prior to entry into the event.
-
The host club/team of the U.S. Junior National Championships can enter one athlete per discipline, per gender, to the U.S. Junior National Championships as a host allocation spot. This does not apply to each age group.
-
Divisions may not add to or change requirements for the invited athletes described in this section apart from those spots designated as the divisional allocations.
-
Foreign athletes will be allocated 3 spots per gender per discipline per age group above the U.S. athlete quota. A foreign athlete must be ranked within the age group quota of the FFSP List #4.

-
The invitations will be posted here and on the event criteria page on February 28 at noon MST.
-
The first round of invited athletes are required to register within 48 hours (by March 1 at noon MST) or their invitation will expire.
-

- Athletes who do not plan to attend Junior Nationals should email invitations@easternfreestyle.org to decline their invite ASAP, for us to efficiently fill the event utilizing the alternate system.
