January, 27 2015

PARK CITY, UT (January 27, 2015) – The U.S. Ski Team will announce the team for the upcoming FIS Alpine World Ski Championships on a special Podium360 on Wednesday, January 28 at 5 p.m. EST live on Universal Sports Network. The announcement will also be streamed LIVE at UniversalSports.com and usskiteam.com.

U.S. Ski Team Alpine Director Patrick Riml is scheduled to announce the men’s and women’s squads for both the speed and tech events via satellite from the USSA Center of Excellence in Park City, Utah.

While Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO), Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) and Stacey Cook (Mammoth Mountain, CA) have all secured a downhill spot based on their World Cup podiums, the fourth spot is still up in the air between at least three other athletes.

Steve Nyman (Sundance, UT) and Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) have already qualified with World Cup wins on the men’s side, but the question still holds on whether Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) will attend, due to his back injury.
