Picabo Stars in NBC's Stars Earn Stripes

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA (Aug. 13) – Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Alpine Ski Team alum Picabo Street will star in the new television series “Stars Earn Stripes,” premiering tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The emotionally charged competition show honors America’s armed forces as competitors gather at a remote training facility where they will tackle complicated and difficult missions that are inspired by military exercises. In addition to Street, the all star cast includes four-time undefeated world boxing champion Laila Ali, actor Dean Cain, actor and former National Football League player Terry Crews, multi-platinum recording artist, actor, producer and television personality Nick Lachey,  Alaska businessman Todd Palin, “The Biggest Loser” trainer Dolvett Quince and WWE wrestler Eve Torres.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Alpine Ski Team alum Picabo Street will star in a new television series "Stars Earn Stripes" which premiers Monday, Aug. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC
  • Street is the 1998 Olympic super G champion and 1994 downhill silver medalist. She also has three World Championship medals and two Audi FIS Alpine World Cup downhill titles (1995, 1996)
  • The competition show honors America's armed forces as competitors tackle missions inspired by military exercises.
  • Contestants' winnings will be donated to first-responder charity and veterans’ groups. Street is playing for Hiring Our Heroes (www.uschamber.com/hiringourheroes)
  • The series will be hosted by General Wesley Clark (ret.) – the former Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO and former presidential candidate – and television personality Samantha Harris (“Entertainment Tonight,” “Dancing with the Stars”).
