NBC Highlights Uptown Funk Video

NBC’s Nick Zaccardi took a look at the best social media posts from Olympic athletes and teams throughout 2015 and highlighted USSA Nordic’s “Uptown Funk” Facebook post from last January.

The U.S. Cross Country Ski Team athletes put together the video, set to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ "Uptown Funk,” three weeks before the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden. It was a team-building effort with Jessie Diggins choreographing the routine, and Simi Hamilton and Andy Newell producing it. The whole team was part of the dance including coaches, physical therapists and support staff. 

NBC called it the closest thing the Winter Olympic world had seen to USA Swimming’s “Call Me Maybe” video.
