Bickner Wins Springer Tournee

PARK CITY, Utah (July 31, 2015) - Kevin Bickner (Wauconda, IL; Norge Ski Club) put together the two longest rides of the day to take a win Friday in the HS100-meter competition at the 17th annual Springer Tournee at the Utah Olympic Park. Bickner soared 96.5 and 97.0-meters to overtake Canadian Maken Boyd-Clowes 256.0 to 248.5. Canada’s Abigail Strate won the women’s competition over Nina Lussi (Lake Placid, NY; New York Ski Educational Foundation).
The tournament is a part of the weeklong Springer Tournee, an annual festival of ski jumping at the Olympic Park. The event will culminate Saturday with the U.S. Ski Jumping Championship on the HS134-meter large hill, along with the U.S. Nordic Combined Championships at the park and Soldier Hollow.
