Principal Giving Program
- Philanthropic investment in U.S. Ski & Snowboard through multi-year gift commitments enables the organization to provide sustainable, guaranteed funding year over year.
- Principal Giving is a donor-focused program that aligns donors’ interests and passion with the greatest needs that U.S. Ski & Snowboard has identified.
- Principal gifts cannot be reduced or reallocated, even in the event of a budget shortfall, making them a significant resource to increase sustainable growth within the organization.
- Since its inception in 2017, the Principal Giving Program has raised more than $30 million in pledges, including $8.5 million+ in gifts and receivables in the 2022-23 season

“My motivation in making a [principal] gift was really to underwrite, as a lot of other competitive teams do, the well-being of our athletes. We have to deliver a community around our athletes, allowing them to specialize in their performance and giving them the peace of mind that they can perform at the highest level without fear of finances or the future.” – Steven M. Read, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Trustee and Principal Giving Program Donor
