Kate Gray of Mammoth Lakes, California, started skiing when she was two years old and jumped into park skiing before she turned ten, inspired by her older brothers. Kate is one of many talents, competing on both the halfpipe teams and slopestyle teams and this season, took home a bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, South Korea in the freeski halfpipe contest.

- 1. Kate started skiing when she was two and started park skiing at only the age of nine
- 2. She initially got into park and halfpipe skiing from her older brothers
- 3. Kate grew up with three older brothers and skied with only boys the majority of the time, which she attributes to her being so competitive
- 4. Besides skiing she is on her high school softball team, plays basketball, and wakesurfs in the summer
