BIO

Hunter Hess of the Stifel U.S. Freeski Team halfpipe roster is one of the most exciting athletes on the circuit. Growing up in Oregon, Hunter spent his time honing his love for skiing at Mt. Bachelor, where he developed his skills with the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. Hess has reached the World Cup podium four times and X Games podium twice.

In his spare time, you can probably find Hess running, surfing, and working each day to become better. He loves a well-cut halfpipe and getting to spend the day riding with friends. He also loves dogs.

Outside of competitive freeskiing, Hunter teams up with his teammate and best friend, Alex Hall, to create MAGMA, a collection of films following the skiers around the globe, master various features and more. MAGMA is become a popular film series within the broader freeski community, with many of the films now featuring international athletes, Stifel U.S. Freeski Team teammates and more.
