Apply for Tryout Camp
PARK CITY, UT (May 1) - The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) and FLY Freestyle have launched a search for the next generation of freestyle talent. Acrobatic athletes ages 14-19 are invited to participate in the Elite Aerial Development Program (EADP) in Lake Placid, NY, or the Western Development Aerial Program FLY Freestyle in Park City, UT. Athletes ages 13 and under are also encouraged to apply so coaches may consider them for next year’s camps. Athletes interested in applying for aerials tryout camps can submit their videos here. Selection will be based on votes, ratings and coach’s discretion.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Acrobatic athletes ages 14-19 are invited to submit their tryout videos to be a part of the Elite Aerial Development Program (EADP) in Lake Placid, NY, or the Western Development Aerial Program FLY Freestyle in Park City, UT.
- Athletes ages 13 and under are also encouraged to apply so coaches may consider them for next year’s camps.

- The EADP and FLY Freestyle offer programs to convert retired acrobatic athletes from sports like gymnastics, trampoline, diving and tumbling (ski skills not necessary) into Olympic athletes in the sport of aerials. Two-time Olympian Ashley Caldwell qualified for the Olympic final in Vancouver after only two years in the EADP.
- Top athletes will be invited to join the EADP or FLY programs where they will be coached by the best aerials coaches in the United States.
- Elite athletes will be fast tracked using talent transfer techniques into the sport of aerials.
