Attributes:
* High school diploma or equivalent; college degree desirable.
* U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 200 coaches’ certification, or foreign equivalent.
* U.S. Ski & Snowboard Referee Level 2 officials’ certification
* Management, accounting, communication, and organization skills
* Experience coaching at the international, domestic FIS, and club levels
* ISIA or PSIA certification experience strongly considered
* Demonstrated technical coaching knowledge and proven ability to advance athletes
* Team player: demonstrates loyalty to the Organization and the whole athletic program
* Computer skills, including ability to use video analysis, email, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software
Position Summary:
* Understand and agree with the vision and mission of U.S. Ski & Snowboard

* To deliver U.S. Ski & Snowboard programs and projects to Eastern region members.
* To identify, track, manage, coach, and otherwise develop regional athletes to their highest potential in the sport and advance them in the development system
* To assist in the development of professional coaches at the club level
Responsible to:
* Plan and manage Eastern Region development projects according to the annual plan
* Participate as staff on national development projects and initiatives, as necessary
* Track Eastern Region athletes in the development pipeline and maintain consistent communication with their club coaches
* Advance regional athletes within the U.S. Ski Team pipeline to the D- and C-Teams
* Contribute to coaches education in the region and work with coaches directly at projects
* Collect participation fees beforehand and manage all projects within budget. Submit timely expense reports and reconcile each project upon completion.
* Responsive communication via email, phone, and text with athletes, coaches and parents
* Proper maintenance of equipment including rental vehicles, uniforms, training equipment, radios, video, and any other material.
* Work proactively with all departments of U.S. Ski & Snowboard
