Silver for Anderson at X Games
ASPEN, CO (Jan. 25) – Olympian Jamie Anderson (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) earned silver Saturday at the X Games slopestyle snowboarding final after Norway’s Silje Norendal stomped a smooth run and pushed her out of the top spot. Anderson and Norendal will meet again when slopestyle snowboarding makes its historic Olympic debut at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia on Feb. 6. Anderson was the only U.S. woman to advance to Saturday’s final, while Olympian Chas Guldemond (Reno, NV) was the only U.S. man, finishing fourth. The women’s halfpipe final kicks off Saturday night, while the men’s final is scheduled for Sunday night.
