Competitive events are the core U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s programs with a network of over 4,000 events, all managed by U.S. Ski & Snowboard Officials. Officials are also able to achieve various levels of certification through educational programs offered by U.S. Ski & Snowboard. Satisfies adult compliance requirements for USASA Official and Technical Supervisor membership categories.

SafeSport and Background Screening Requirements:

U.S. Ski & Snowboard Members who are turning 18 years of age during the season or older who are in regular contact with or in a position of authority over athletes are required to complete periodic background screening and annual SafeSport training prior to being issued a U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership. (Short term members are excluded)

Introduction to Avalanches Course Requirement:

• The Introduction to Avalanches Course is completed through your online account

  • Members 17 years of age and older must have their own online account to gain access to the course

  • Linked members will not have access to this course

• A link to the Introduction to Avalanches Course will be provided on the confirmation page and within your https://my.usskiandsnowboard.org account if completion is required.
