Committees & Councils
In addition to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Board of Directors, numerous committees and councils develop, guide and implement policies and procedures that govern the organization.
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Executive Committee consists of five voting members, including representation from the Board of Directors, Foundation Board of Trustees and the Athletes' Council.
The Foundation Board of Trustees provide fundraising, development, communication, education and marketing support and expertizes as requested by the U.S. Ski & Snowboard.
The five-member committee reviews each nominee to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Board of Directors to determine his/her ability to provide effective representation and leadership on the Board.
The Alpine Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Alpine ski racing.
The Freeskiing Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Freeskiing competition.
The Freestyle Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Freestyle competition.
The Cross Country Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Cross Country ski racing.
The Ski Jumping/Nordic Combined Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined competition.
The Snowboard Sport Committee works with staff to develop plans for the development and operation of Snowboard competition.
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Athletes’ Council facilitates communication and represents athlete interests to the Board of Directors.
The Awards Committee honors athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers for service and dedication to making our programs the Best in the World!
The Investment Committee manages the U.S. Ski & Snowboard endowment to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
The Finance Committee provides the recommendation for budget approval, endowment draw and capital structure of the organization.
The Audit Committee reviews the organization’s independent accountants and serves as an independent review of financial reports and internal control processes.
The Compensation Committee sets appropriate and supportable pay programs that align with the organization's mission, business strategy, and goals
The Ethics Committee is responsible for the administration of the written code of conduct and ethical practices of the Organization.
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Judicial Committee establishes policies and procedures not inconsistent with the Bylaws, approved by the Board.
