Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) is not only winningest woman ski racer in history, she is also working to empower and inspire young girls through the Lindsey Vonn Foundation. Now she's been recognized by PEOPLE, which has included her in their list of 25 women changing the world. “While I want to be known as the greatest skier of all time, I also want my legacy to be about giving back as much as I can,” Vonn told PEOPLE.

She is the only American woman to capture downhill gold at the Olympics, has 82 World Cup victories, 137 World Cup podiums, seven World Championship medals, and 20 World Cup titles (including four Overall World Cup Crystal Globes).
