On the Road Learning

The key educational challenge faced by elite student athletes is mixing the travel demands of growing athletic careers with day-to-day schooling. Travel is a huge part of a student athlete’s schedule. At USSA TEAM Academy, student athletes will participate in blended learning, utilizing both in-classroom teachers and virtual learning so students never fall behind on the road. These teachers get it – both athletically and academically. They're interested in your academic goals just as much as your athletic goals.
The USSA TEAM Academy is focused specifically on this challenge offering a blended model that mixes both classroom learning in the USSA Center of Excellence with technology-driven education while traveling for athletic training and competition.

Classroom teachers will provide oversight of student athletes’ education both in the classroom and on the road: helping choose the correct courses, tracking student progress, encouraging active learning, and ensuring that every student athlete gets the support they need on a daily basis for academic success and a lifelong love of learning

The USSA TEAM Academy utilizes a curriculum and supporting infrastructure from DeVry’s Advance Academics, together with Academy staff, to deliver a fully-accredited educational program. The partnership provides student athletes with global access to teachers 24/5 (Sunday evening through Friday evening), so when traveling for training or competition, student athletes will have constant help and support.
