BIO
Pinckney, Michagin’s Jake Vedder has had an accomplished career in snowboarding. He was part of the International Snowboard Training Center prior to joining the U.S. Team. Sense then he has had many incredible years, in 2016 he scored multiple Nor-Am Cup podiums, made his first World Cup appearance, and he won the gold medal for the U.S. at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Winter Games. In 2018, Jake became a junior world champion in Cardona, New Zealand. He has then placed fifth in both the World Cup and the World Championships. Interestingly enough, Jake also has a comic book coming out about his life and during his free time he generously likes to spend a lot of time doing charity work in Detroit and local hospitals.
"To stand on top of a podium is incredible. I don’t know what I’m going to do with this medal; I might not even take it off!"
