Sawyer Reed joined the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team for his first season in the 2023-24 year. Reed was born into a ski racing family, learning to ski at two years old. He cultivated his fast skiing early by chasing his older brother around the mountains.

One of his most memorable athletic achievements is winning the U18 Nationals giant slalom in his second year on the FIS circuit. Reed’s top goals include performing at the top NorAm level and racing World Juniors.

In the 2024-25 season, Reed showed strong skiing in the technical disciplines, highlighted by two top 10s in the Panorama NorAm giant slaloms and qualifying for his first Junior World Championships team. 

When he is not ski racing you can find him spending time on the water, fishing, or mountain biking.
