BIO
Minor was born missing his right forearm. He wore a prosthetic forearm and hand until he was five but stopped using it because it became a hindrance. Minor grew up skiing, wrestling, skateboarding, four-wheeling, and participating in mixed martial arts. Mike started taking up snowboarding at the age of seven after seeing others participating. He worked as a lift attendant on Copper Mountain before being asked to compete competitively with Adaptive Action Sports. After getting more experience with AAS, Minor made his international debut at a World Cup event in November 2015. After an impressive opening season, Minor continues to dominate the competition on the national and international stages. He was named the USOC Athlete of the Month in November 2016. His most memorable sporting achievement was winning the banked slalom world cup title in his first season of international racing. In his free time, he enjoys skateboarding and spending time with his two dogs, Halo and Dinky.
